Recipe: Spicy Mango Salsa

If you’re in need of a quick and easy way to spice up your meals or are looking for a sweet mid-day snack, try my Spicy Mango Salsa. I learned this 6-ingredient salsa when I lived in Mexico, and it quickly became my summer go-to as it’s super simple, fresh, & delicious 🥭

  • 1 mango

  • ½ red onion

  • Chopped cilantro

  • 1 jalapeño

  • ½ lime

  • 1 tomato (sweet)

  1. Prep Your Ingredients: Dice the mango, red onion, and tomato in small cubes. Cut the jalapeño lengthwise in half, remove the seeds, and then thinly slice. Roughly chop the cilantro and prepare your half lime.

  2. Combine: Toss the mango, tomato, jalapeño, and red onion in a small bowl. Top with lime juice & cilantro and mix.

  3. Season: I like to add salt & pepper. If you want additional spice, feel free to add a dash of ground cayenne pepper. Add more lime juice if needed.

  4. Enjoy: Serve up your mango salsa now as it is best fresh, or refrigerate for up to 2-3 days.

How to serve:
  • Your New Favorite Dip! Just grab your favorite chips and snack away.

  • Top Your Protein– I love this salsa over tofu, white fish, or grilled chicken.

  • Taco Filling. Pairs with almost any taco combination.

  • In a bowl! Add it to your favorite healthy greens or grains bowls as a fresh topping.

I really can’t get enough of this salsa– it will soon be your new summer favorite too. Peak mango season runs from May into September so it’s the perfect time to enjoy.
